" " " Starcraft How To: October 2010 "

Terran is a well balanced race whether you are playing Star craft 1 or 2. Because of their versatile units, there are many strategies that this race can do in order for them to defeat the Protoss, Zerg or even the Terran opponents. But the best Starcraft Terran build order to defeat all kinds of races is to get the mule.

This race, of all the 3 races has the most complicated way of getting minerals and vespene gas. When you use this race you will lose your speed in collecting minerals and gases especially when you use your gatherer to construct buildings. That is why the best build order that this race can offer is to get the mule.
The mule are an extra unit that you can call out that can gather twice as much minerals that what a SCV's can for 20 seconds. With this kind of strategy, this can balance the disadvantages Terran race has against other races.

In order for a person to get the mule as soon as possible, gamers must do the following;

1. Have 9 gatherers as soon as possible.
2. Build a supply depot after having the 9 gatherers.
3. Continue building two more SCV's and then build another depot.
4. Use one builder to build a barracks and build it where you can block your ramp.
5. make sure that there are gatherers working on the command center all the time.
6. Once the barracks is finished use a builder to build another depot in order to seal the ramp.
7. Stop building SCVs when their population reaches 14 in order for you to have sufficient minerals to upgrade to Orbital Command the moment your Barracks is done so that you can acquire the mule faster.
8. After the refinery is built acquire two more builders so that they can gather gas.
9. Train some marines so that you can defend your camp from any rush attacks.
10. You can build another barracks or upgrade directly to banshees and siege tanks.
11. Add a tech lab to your first barracks when your vespene gas reaches to 50
12. With the orbital command ready, down the Mule and continue making SCV's

When calling down the mule and generating minerals and gases faster that what gatherers can make in 20 seconds can give your Terran race a boost in order for them to compete against their opponents. You can have you own strategies on defeating your opponent depending on what race attacks you as long as you can get the mule as soon as possible.

Sid Meiers Civilization IV: The Complete Edition Review

Here are a few comments about the "Complete Edition" release of Civilization IV, rather than the game itself (which is, of course, fun):

There's a lot of value packed into this release, with the original Civ IV, Warlords expansion pack, Beyond the Sword expansion pack, and Civ IV Colonization packed on one DVD. (That doesn't quite make it "complete", but close enough.) If you're looking to complete your Civ IV collection, this release is a good buy. However, if you're new to Civ IV, or especially to the Civilization franchise, be warned that unlike the original Civ IV release, this one does not include a full manual. Instead, you get only the reference poster and one slim booklet with basic instructions for all the games.

Therefore, I can't recommend this release to a complete newbie. But if you already know and love Civ IV, or if you're the kind of person who doesn't bother with manuals, then you do get a lot for your money.

Company of Heroes Review

This game is one of the most awesome out there. I suggest it to any major RTS gamers like my self. Its a good taste of what it might have been like back then and the fun is enhanced with the company selection. Its realistic and entreaging and just pulls you into it. Its not like CnC when you have it on easy it sometimes gets really hard if you set it to easy you will still get a challenge and a thrill not a steamroller comp, but you also wont be able to just steamroll over them. overall its a great game and is one of my favorites I like better then Dawn of War (

In this quick Starcraft 2 Protoss 1v1 Guide, I will be discussing the best strategies to use versus each race. Read on to discover the best way to win more games as Protoss!

Vs. Other Protoss Players

One of the best strategies to use in a mirror match (Protoss vs Protoss) is to get a mixture of Zealots, Sentries, and Immortals. Do not give the enemy an opportunity to build any Void Rays and there will be no need to worry about getting anti-air units.

Build 2 Gateways and start pumping out Zealots and Sentries. Go in when you have a dozen units total. From there, keep pressure up and build Immortals. Make sure your Zealots and Sentries cover for your Immortals and do not let enemy units get too close to your large units. Zealots and Sentries punish any Protoss ground combination (except for Colossi), and your Immortals will be able to chew up any Colossi and Stalkers.

Vs. Terran Players

Against Terran players, you will need to quickly go for Colossi and Immortals. Terran players will universally start with either Reapers or MMM (Marines, Marauders, and Medivacs, though Medivacs may not always be present). Either of these unit combination will chew up Zealots as Reapers are very fast and Marauders have an attack which slows afflicted units. You will need to get Colossi to kill MMM quickly, and you will need Immortals later in the game to kill any Siege Tanks added to the mix.

The longer the game runs on, the more Immortals you will need. Stop building Colossi if the Terran player stops building Marines; keep building Colossi if Marines stay prevalent. Remember that Vikings cannot attack Immortals unless they land, Immortals quickly demolish Vikings on the ground, and Stalkers are very effective versus flying Vikings.

Dark Templar can also be used to supplement your army later in the game. Just remember that the key point of this Starcraft 2 Protoss 1v1 guide is that the Immortal and Colossus are the units that will allow you to win versus Terran players.

vs. Zerg Players

Against Zerg players, you will be best off building an early biological army consisting of Zealots and Sentries. You will then need to adjust your game plan based off what the enemy is building. If the enemy is going Roaches, get a few Immortals. Two or three Immortals can take out an entire army of Roaches!

If the enemy is massing Hydralisks (a very common strategy), you will need a few Colossi. You may need to get a few Stalkers to protect your Colossi from Corruptors at this point (keep an eye on what the enemy is building). If the enemy builds Mutalisks, know that the Phoenix is extremely effective versus light air units like the Mutalisk.

In short, if the enemy has Hydralisks and Corruptors, build Colossi, Stalkers, and Sentries. If the enemy has Roaches, Hydralisks, or other ground units without air support, build Immortals, Colossi, Zealots, and Sentries. If the enemy has mostly air units, build Stalkers, Sentries, and a few Phoenixes.

Against Zerg players there is not a sure-fire plan I can commit to in this Starcraft 2 Protoss 1v1 guide; you will need to adapt based off of what the enemy is doing.

Mastering that enables you to build your buildings fast and control your forces at a pace much faster than clicking.

Two most essential aspects you need to know are the Micro and the Macro of the game. Understand and control them well. Have a good balance and control of them.
