Terran is a well balanced race whether you are playing Star craft 1 or 2. Because of their versatile units, there are many strategies that this race can do in order for them to defeat the Protoss, Zerg or even the Terran opponents. But the best Starcraft Terran build order to defeat all kinds of races is to get the mule.
This race, of all the 3 races has the most complicated way of getting minerals and vespene gas. When you use this race you will lose your speed in collecting minerals and gases especially when you use your gatherer to construct buildings. That is why the best build order that this race can offer is to get the mule.
The mule are an extra unit that you can call out that can gather twice as much minerals that what a SCV's can for 20 seconds. With this kind of strategy, this can balance the disadvantages Terran race has against other races.
In order for a person to get the mule as soon as possible, gamers must do the following;
1. Have 9 gatherers as soon as possible.
2. Build a supply depot after having the 9 gatherers.
3. Continue building two more SCV's and then build another depot.
4. Use one builder to build a barracks and build it where you can block your ramp.
5. make sure that there are gatherers working on the command center all the time.
6. Once the barracks is finished use a builder to build another depot in order to seal the ramp.
7. Stop building SCVs when their population reaches 14 in order for you to have sufficient minerals to upgrade to Orbital Command the moment your Barracks is done so that you can acquire the mule faster.
8. After the refinery is built acquire two more builders so that they can gather gas.
9. Train some marines so that you can defend your camp from any rush attacks.
10. You can build another barracks or upgrade directly to banshees and siege tanks.
11. Add a tech lab to your first barracks when your vespene gas reaches to 50
12. With the orbital command ready, down the Mule and continue making SCV's
When calling down the mule and generating minerals and gases faster that what gatherers can make in 20 seconds can give your Terran race a boost in order for them to compete against their opponents. You can have you own strategies on defeating your opponent depending on what race attacks you as long as you can get the mule as soon as possible.
Sid Meiers Civilization IV: The Complete Edition Review
Here are a few comments about the "Complete Edition" release of Civilization IV, rather than the game itself (which is, of course, fun):
There's a lot of value packed into this release, with the original Civ IV, Warlords expansion pack, Beyond the Sword expansion pack, and Civ IV Colonization packed on one DVD. (That doesn't quite make it "complete", but close enough.) If you're looking to complete your Civ IV collection, this release is a good buy. However, if you're new to Civ IV, or especially to the Civilization franchise, be warned that unlike the original Civ IV release, this one does not include a full manual. Instead, you get only the reference poster and one slim booklet with basic instructions for all the games.
Therefore, I can't recommend this release to a complete newbie. But if you already know and love Civ IV, or if you're the kind of person who doesn't bother with manuals, then you do get a lot for your money.

This game is one of the most awesome out there. I suggest it to any major RTS gamers like my self. Its a good taste of what it might have been like back then and the fun is enhanced with the company selection. Its realistic and entreaging and just pulls you into it. Its not like CnC when you have it on easy it sometimes gets really hard if you set it to easy you will still get a challenge and a thrill not a steamroller comp, but you also wont be able to just steamroll over them. overall its a great game and is one of my favorites I like better then Dawn of War (

In this quick Starcraft 2 Protoss 1v1 Guide, I will be discussing the best strategies to use versus each race. Read on to discover the best way to win more games as Protoss!
Vs. Other Protoss Players
One of the best strategies to use in a mirror match (Protoss vs Protoss) is to get a mixture of Zealots, Sentries, and Immortals. Do not give the enemy an opportunity to build any Void Rays and there will be no need to worry about getting anti-air units.
Build 2 Gateways and start pumping out Zealots and Sentries. Go in when you have a dozen units total. From there, keep pressure up and build Immortals. Make sure your Zealots and Sentries cover for your Immortals and do not let enemy units get too close to your large units. Zealots and Sentries punish any Protoss ground combination (except for Colossi), and your Immortals will be able to chew up any Colossi and Stalkers.
Vs. Terran Players
Against Terran players, you will need to quickly go for Colossi and Immortals. Terran players will universally start with either Reapers or MMM (Marines, Marauders, and Medivacs, though Medivacs may not always be present). Either of these unit combination will chew up Zealots as Reapers are very fast and Marauders have an attack which slows afflicted units. You will need to get Colossi to kill MMM quickly, and you will need Immortals later in the game to kill any Siege Tanks added to the mix.
The longer the game runs on, the more Immortals you will need. Stop building Colossi if the Terran player stops building Marines; keep building Colossi if Marines stay prevalent. Remember that Vikings cannot attack Immortals unless they land, Immortals quickly demolish Vikings on the ground, and Stalkers are very effective versus flying Vikings.
Dark Templar can also be used to supplement your army later in the game. Just remember that the key point of this Starcraft 2 Protoss 1v1 guide is that the Immortal and Colossus are the units that will allow you to win versus Terran players.
vs. Zerg Players
Against Zerg players, you will be best off building an early biological army consisting of Zealots and Sentries. You will then need to adjust your game plan based off what the enemy is building. If the enemy is going Roaches, get a few Immortals. Two or three Immortals can take out an entire army of Roaches!
If the enemy is massing Hydralisks (a very common strategy), you will need a few Colossi. You may need to get a few Stalkers to protect your Colossi from Corruptors at this point (keep an eye on what the enemy is building). If the enemy builds Mutalisks, know that the Phoenix is extremely effective versus light air units like the Mutalisk.
In short, if the enemy has Hydralisks and Corruptors, build Colossi, Stalkers, and Sentries. If the enemy has Roaches, Hydralisks, or other ground units without air support, build Immortals, Colossi, Zealots, and Sentries. If the enemy has mostly air units, build Stalkers, Sentries, and a few Phoenixes.
Against Zerg players there is not a sure-fire plan I can commit to in this Starcraft 2 Protoss 1v1 guide; you will need to adapt based off of what the enemy is doing.
On the 27th July, Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty has been officially launched worldwide, creating a major impact on more than 10 million of its die-hard fans. With just only a few days of its launch, its popularity flows at lightning speed throughout the world of online gaming and simply everywhere is packed with its loyal gamers now! Starcraft 2 has always been the hottest topic in forums. And what do people usually discuss about Starcraft 2? The answer is - Strategies.
First and foremost, if you're determine to play at platinum level, you will need to get your fundamentals straight. Familiarize yourself with the 3 different races and select which best suit your playing style. Master everything on your chosen race and start memorizing all the hot keys. Speed is the key to all victories and hot keys are the very basic for you to dominate the game. Mastering that enables you to build your buildings fast and control your forces at a pace much faster than clicking.
Two most essential aspects you need to know are the Micro and the Macro of the game. Understand and control them well. Have a good balance and control of them.
Terran Strategy:
1. Starting build order 2. Vital units and buildings 3. Walling your Base 4. Ghost Nuke Rush 5. Know the number of your cannons 6. Placement of pylons 7. Knowing who are not suitable for scouting purpose 8. Building of Gateways
Protoss Strategy:
1. Chrono boost 2. Walling your Base 3. Hasty expanding 4. Colossus micro harass
Zerg Strategy:
1. The Zerg Nydus Canal Trick
Make an effort to master all these mixture of strategies and techniques. That way, not only can you reduce your learning curve, you can also become a strong Starcraft 2 gamer that dominates games after games.
Guild Wars 2 provides a massive, online persistent world.

You will be able to advance your character to the maximum level without ever joining a group if you so desire.
Guild Wars 2 Overview
A full 250 years after the original Guild Wars, massive upheavals, cataclysms, and globe-spanning events have changed the world of Tyria. Human civilization is in decline. Other races are rising up, taking control over large portions of the world; the balance of power has shifted. The dragons have awoken.
In Starcraft 2, rushing involves skipping out on building up your base and instead "rushing" straight for a particular unit. In this article, I will discuss the best Starcraft 2 rushes for each race.
Best Starcraft 2 Rushes for Terran
Reaper Rush: This strategy involves building Reapers as fast as possible. By following this strategy, you can build Reapers with just 7 SCVs. Have all of your SCVs harvest minerals and send one SCV to your enemy's base. Once at your enemy's base, start building a Barracks on the outside.
While the Barracks is building, build a Refinery and start harvesting vespene gas. Build a Tech Lab on your Barracks and start pumping out Reapers. Send your Reaper in as soon as it is ready and try to kill as many harvesters as you can while avoiding the enemy's ground units.
Banshee rush: This strategy involves racing for Banshees and taking out the enemy before he is able to get any anti-air units. This only works versus Zerg players. You will want to build a Refinery, Barracks, Factory, and Starport at a 10/11 supply count. As soon as your Starport is done, build a Tech Lab on it and then build a Supply Depot. Start producing Banshees right away and send your Banshee in. Kill Queens first then go for the Drones.
Best Starcraft 2 Rushes for Protoss
Void Ray Rush: This Protoss strategy involves building a few Void rays as quickly as possible. Void Rays are expensive, so you cannot sacrifice your economy to perform this rush. Get a Pylon at 8/10 supplies and then get a Gateway at 12/19 supplies. While your Gateway is building, build an Assimilator and keep making Probes. As soon as your Gateway finishes, build a Cybernetics Core and a second Assimilator.
Never stop building Probes until you reach the cap of 22 Probes at your main base. As soon as your Cybernetics Core finishes, build a Stargate. When your Stargate is done, start using Chrono Boost to make Void Rays. Be sure to use extra minerals to build Zealots in order to defend your base from a potential rush. Attack the enemy with your air units once you get 3 Void Rays. Be sure to let the Void Rays charge up off a random building before engaging the enemy's army. Do not go straight for the enemy's units with uncharged Void Rays.
Best Starcraft 2 Rushes for Zerg
Zergling Rush: This is a cornerstone Zerg strategy. I recommend building a Spawning Pool at 9 or 10 supplies (9 at small maps, 10 at large ones). While the Spawning Pool is building, grab an Extractor and another Overlord. Build 6 Zerglings as soon as your Spawning Pool finishes and send them in. Be sure to keep building Zerglings and train Metabolic Boost (Zergling speed upgrade) as soon as you can.
Mutalisk Rush: I prefer to use this rush to follow up a Zergling rush. Start off with the Zergling rush mentioned above. Your enemy's progress will be slowed down by your initial Zerglings, making him susceptible to an early attack by air units. Your Zergling rush probably will not kill the enemy, but you should be able to slow his progress a lot and force him to build anti-ground units. At this point, tech for a Lair and keep building Zerglings.
Once your Lair is done, add a Spire. Continually produce Zerglings and keep sending them into the enemy's base in small groups. These will slow down your enemy significantly. As soon as your Spire is done, build 3 Mutalisks and send those in right for the enemy's mineral line. If you did this right, your enemy should not have any anti-air units and it should be an easy win from there.

When a teammate of mine loses his base, several things go through my mind. This is in Starcraft 2 of course, and yes I just played a game where this happened.
Our upper Protoss player, a good friend of mine, lost his base in the end game. In the end game, armies are so large and destructive, a player can lose an entire base without you being able to get to it in time to save it. This is especially true under our circumstances, where our armies weren't mobile. They were slow, we couldn't save his base in time.
He is a trooper, and he managed to rebuild. Yet something struck me near the end of that game.
The battles in that game were mega intense, Phoenix verses Battlecruisers and Vikings, Collasus and Stalkers on the ground, just huge epic battles. With so much occurring, not to mention the need for expansions and more troops, it can be hard to focus enough attention on the battles.
Their is always more you could be doing.
So I realized this at the end of the game, even though I already knew about it. This is giving your teammates control of your troops. If your teammate has a lot of energy that he can't really put anywhere, giving him control of your troops is the obvious solution.
He can put 100% of his effort into making your troops as effective as possible, and you can put a majority of your effort into managing your resources and building your army.
This is a win/win. Now, this of course is only for the players who like me, want to win at all costs. Letting another player manage your army isn't fun, in fact its boring. However that other player can focus a lot more attention on it, so it makes you a much more effective team.
So don't forget, when your buddy has nothing else to do, share control of your units with him. Let him worry about focus firing Phoenixes, and maneuvering them around. Let him worry about blinking the Stalkers into a strategic location. You worry about securing expansions, building more fighting troops, and staying one step ahead of your opponents.
Oh and let me add one more thing to this article. This is about maps with island expansions. These expansions are ideal for Terran players to occupy. Not only can they just fly a fully loaded Command Center over to them, they can then outline them in Turrets. These expansions can be a pain in the butt to destroy.
If you kill off your opponent, but they have one of these, be sure to immediately start pumping anti air. Air is the easiest to build from those expansions, they don't have to worry about transporting troops this way. Now that gives me an idea, you could use Nydus Canals as Zerg to get on and off those islands, might be worth looking into.
The Legend of Zelda games are high fantasy role-playing action video games created by the Japanese game makers and designers, namely Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. Zelda games are then developed and published by Nintendo and are considered one of their most important franchises.
Zelda games include a combination of adventure, action and solving puzzles. The game series centers on the girl Link, the main character of the game. She is usually given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda in the most common setting from Ganon or Ganondorf who is the main antagonist. Nevertheless, other antagonists and settings have appeared throughout the games and Vaati recently became the secondary antagonist.
The Legend of Zelda games usually includes a relic known as Triforce, a set of there golden triangles. Link holds it for courage, Princess Zelda holds it for wisdom and Ganon holds it for power.
As of April this year, the Legend of Zelda series has sold more than 59 million copies since the release of its first game and continues to be successful all throughout the world. The elements found in these types of video-games have remained constant through the series, but with additions and refinements featured in a new game.
Most frequently, the player is rewarded for exploring areas or solving puzzles. Most games involve exploring, locating dungeons where puzzles are solved, enemies fought, and defeating the boss of the dungeon.
Furthermore, the game series also includes a stealth game play wherein the player must avoid enemies while proceeding through a level and racing elements as well. The Legend of Zelda is truly one of the most action-packed games with lots of adventures and challenges that every child and even adult will find entertaining, engrossing and addicting.

One can find several different Starcraft 2 Strategies out there. You must know that mainly Starcraft 2 strategies range from beginner to advanced level. Advanced level strategies are used by professional players and they are a result of hours of gaming experience and practice. The best idea would be to get familiar with the basic Starcraft 2 strategies before going into the more advanced ones. Read more to learn in brief about basic Starcraft 2 Strategy.
Starcraft has three races - Zerg, Protoss and Terran. Zergs are the most popular and they are always present in large numbers. Thus they are able to pull of a massive attack with a deadly force. Zergs are usually all about numbers. That is one of the ideas behind one of the most popular Starcraft 2 strategy called The Zerg Rush. You spawn an army of Zergs and attack your enemy with a force so huge that it ensures that the victory is yours. The way in which Zerg advances is compelling.
Protoss is yet another powerful race. When facing off Zergs, they use the Protoss Carrier. It allows them to enter the combat with high voltage current and exploding radiance. Protoss are also able to make use of their Mothership which allows them to trick their enemies and attack them.
Terrans are smart, quick and advanced compared to all other races. They are ind of combination of Zerg and Protoss. The possibilities and strategies with them are endless. Terrans can quickly seal any openings created by enemies which makes it a bad idea to attack them. They also have abilities like radars or scanners to locate enemies. Controlling mechanized units, flame throwing, and huge blasts are few other amazing skills that they posses. With an impressive arsenal at their disposal, opponents never know what a Terran player is going to come up with during an invasion.
That was about the basic Starcraft 2 strategies for different races. Now let us get into how to start a round. Like we have gold in World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2 has minerals as the main currency. Starcraft 2 minerals are of two different types. The way in which each of them are collected is also different. First one is Crystal. As you begin a round you will find eight of crystal mines around your base. The second type is Vespene. It is comparatively used less than Crystal.
Your game starts at a central building which is called as Nexus. This is where you will be dropping off the minerals you collect. It also allows you to product workers are speed up buildings to work faster.
This was just an overview of the basic Starcraft 2 Strategies. Visit my blog for more detailed and advanced level Starcraft 2 strategies.
I finally returned to Warcraft III several years after purchasing it (and not finishing it). My problem at the time was that I played too many random maps, which ended up being the same thing over and over (settlement building, army building, attack, rinse, repeat) and I got tired of it. I never even finished the Alliance campaign.
In the meantime I played World of Warcraft (which is set four years after the events of Warcraft III) and then I decided to give Warcraft III another try, both to finish a game I never finished and to play through the storylines that led up to WoW. By this time I was familiar with the big characters and events, thanks to playing WoW and reading about the lore, but it was very exciting to actually play through them on my own. Part of the WoW setting is the aftermath of the invasion of the Burning Legion, so to see it all happen in Warcraft III was really quite amazing. While Warcraft I and II seem to be more straightforward (essentially dealing with the humans and the orcs battling each other), Warcraft III really expands the lore of the game world. Arthas falls, the Legion invades, the orcs travel to Kalimdor, the night elves reawaken the druids, etc. There are a lot of big events that you can play through in these four campaigns.
My only complaint would be that sometimes it gets a little repetitive with the settlement building aspect. I know this is the heart of a strategy game, but completing a chapter could take as long as two hours simply because you have to build everything up, create an army, attack an enemy outpost (thereby losing many units), and then re-building the army to do it all again. However, there are many other chapters that do not involve a high degree of settlement building, and some chapters are straightforward exploration and questing. So thankfully there is a variety of play styles across the campaigns.
Finally, regarding the Battle Chest product specifically: this is simply a fantastic value. It comes with separate discs for Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, the original game manuals for each, as well as mini Brady game guides for each. Blizzard certainly did not skimp on the included materials for this collection.

Side with the Orcs, Humans, Undead or Night Elves and fight for dominance in a fully-interactive 3D world
Create legenedary heroes that will complete quests and acquire items that advance your army
In Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne, a new threat called the Lich King has come to Azeroth. Take up arms and rush to battle yet one more time!
Expansion features all-new units, player-built shops & buildings, and powerful new magic abilities

Of all the classes that are there in Warcraft, mages happen to be the easiest to level. As they can create enough food and water for the entire group they are highly important for any group. And added to this their crowd control and damage ability makes them all the more valuable.
There are three talent specializations of Mages, namely Frost, Fire and Arcane. Of the three, Frost has highest survivability, while Fire and Arcane have high DPS with Fire also having a huge burst.
The most popular talent trees change with time as newer patches are rolled out that affect the talents. Right now Fire happens to be the most favoured raiding talent trees. However one can always choose any specialization and learn to benefit by playing with them over time.
Casters can increase their survivability with the help of Frost. Aided by the frost novas and bolts mages can keep mobs at a distance and kill them quite easily.
Although Fire and Frost happen to be the best choices that one can make, which one would prove to be the best cannot be said like that, and one will have to go ahead and try them to see which one would work best for them.
Mages need to react fast and the fact that they are cloth armoured makes it all the more important to insure that they do not face too much damage. This is why many people choose Frost as it helps them by allowing them to ensure that their mages can sustain a bit more damage to survive.
Although mages are quite easy to play one must play with a lot of concentration and attention to play well. They get easily damaged and can catch the attention of the monsters, and need to indulge in dumping aggro from time to time. Using invisibility and ice block can help in staying immune and dump aggro. However while staying invisible; one must take care to ensure that they do not meet up with any damage, which could cause them to lose their invisibility.
Another great ability that is possessed by mages is the ability to teleport, and they can do so not only on their own, but can also help entire groups to teleport. For this they need reagents, which can be obtained from any reagent vendor. Teleportation can be done to major cities like Ironforge, Shattrath, Exodar, Dalaran, Darnassus, Stormwind and Theramore for the Alliance by the level 80 mages. On the other hand, Horde mages help in teleportation to Thunder Bluff, Shattrath, Stonard, Silvermoon City, Undercity, Orgrimmar, Dalaran, and Thunder Bluff. You can in fact earn money by teleporting people while in a major city.
Just follow this guide and you will gain knowledge on how to handle one of the best DPS classes in Warcraft.
I was never really a Red alert fan until I began getting into the rts genre in general. RA3 Starts as a fictional scenario that Einstein gets vaporized, so the nuclear bomb never exists, and since they did that, the japanese still exist. Gameplay is alright, you got lots of interesting units like the kirov or the hero units which can rack up some damage. The graphics are not too bad for their time but I've seen better on an rts. The multiplayer is pretty fun, and of course the thing I cannot leave out. The soundtrack. Love it; the music is just in my range of interest, and it makes the game more engaging. As you know this game also has limited installs on it, which is bs even for us that own it cause us gamers like to repetitively reinstall the os for performance optimization, so before you think about your drm next time ea, be a little more intelligent on your decisions. Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Overview
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 from EA brings back the fan-favorite real-time strategy game in its latest incarnation with new features, powers, technologies, and a different world. Now, you can play not just by yourself but also cooperatively with a friend as you take on the enemy in this glorious, over-the-top romp.

Intriguing Plot Twists In previous games, the war between the Allies and Soviets was coming to a close with the Allies nearing victory. In desperation, the Soviets created a time-travel device that they've used to assassinate Albert Einstein before he is able to develop the weapon technology the Allies later use to defeat the Soviets. Upon returning, they notice a new world, and there is a world war taking place between three groups for control of the world.
Play As Three Different Factions for Varied game play In Red Alert 3, you have the choice to play as the Allies, the Soviets, or the Empire of the Rising Sun. Each faction has its own story-line and distinct units with advantages and disadvantages that you have to master in order to win. The new faction to the series is the Empire of the Rising Sun, derived from Imperial Japan, with an all-new cast of units and characters.
The three factions have many differences, exemplified by their wildly different types of units. The Soviets, for example, have armored attack bears, Allies have the Dolphin ship which can high jump and use a sonic attack, and the Empire of the Rising Sun features such quirky units as a giant transforming mecha and ninjas. As they've done with the series, EA injects humor into the game when possible, keeping a smile on your face as you wage war.
Fight on Land, in the Air, and on Sea Red Alert 3 has land units, air units, and naval units, all integral parts of the game. Unlike most strategy games that don't bother with naval warfare, Red Alert 3 makes controlling the seas an essential part of the game. Controlling resources in the seas and mounting attacks from all directions are strategies that must be employed to achieve victory.
Cooperative Mode Lets You Team Up with Your Friends Red Alert 3 has a fully co-operative campaign mode where you and a friend can play together to achieve victory. This means that you have to develop a strategy together, as well as execute it in synch in order to win. If your friends aren't online, you can also choose one of several AI commanders as your teammate.
Play Against Your Friends in Multiplayer With the different units and play mechanics of each faction, you and your friends will have a great time playing against each other, perfecting different strategies to best suit the units you have and the maps you play on. And thanks to the balanced game play, no one will have an unfair advantage.
For previous fans of Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 will provide the same light-hearted game play, but with more units, more strategies, and more fun. Newcomers to the game will soon see what all the fuss and laughter is about.
There are two kinds of people, those willing to give everything it takes to success and those who fail. This holds true all the time for daily life in Hyboria, the Age of Conan. Many people can take an AoC character through months of endless questing and grinding to reach the level cap, while some accomplish the same thing in the matter of weeks. Obviously, these are the same group of Age of Conan players who make and spend countless amount of AoC gold daily while enjoy winning PvP fights all the time. The truth behind these accomplishments is not really a secret, all they need is just an access to the insider information.
If you are also the Age of Conan player in pursuit of an edge over others. Then you might have heard that there is a secret community where many elite players go to share and learn Age of Conan cheats. Few months before the initial launch of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. The cheat community announced that it is going to feature a forum where players can discuss Age of Conan cheats freely. The forum received more responses than the staff anticipated. There were at least forty posted discussions presented before the open beta session begins, some are closed beta insider game information and some even explain methods behind AoC cheats and hacks deliberately.
The most recent discovery reveals that Funcom still leave some spots open for third party programs to cheat the game. Players with some basic programming knowledge can create an AoC cheat out of this knowledge easily, allowing their characters to fly in the air, walk through walls and swim under the mountain. They are still looking for better ways of applying this cheat.
Long before the launch of AoC, members of Strategyfreaks has been figuring out better ways of playing many MMO games, spending less time but achieving the same level of enjoyment. Now, the staff is looking forward to see the community discuss more Age of Conan cheats as players progress further into the game. They are also trying their best to fuel the conversation taking place, to ensure that more AoC cheats are going to be posted.

Over the last 10 years that I first installed STARCRAFT I have replayed it countless of times. Every time a new overhyped game disappoints me, this is one of the games I pull out of my library to be reminded what a GREAT PC GAME LOOKS & PLAYS LIKE! (others include UNREAL, BALDUR's GATE, GRIM FANTANGO and SHOGUN:TOTAL WAR)
Everyone has his/her favorite RTS and no one can claim that STARCRAFT introduced the futuristic RTS genre (that would be DUNE). Nevertheless, the great, crisp and clear graphics, the balanced units and the strategic terrain all contributed into turning STARCRAFT into a true classic. This is a game that passed the test of time, not only because its aging graphics are still acceptable but also because it is one of those games that stays with you. Forever.
So, the next time some gaming industry MBA (who probably could not tell an RTS from an cRPG) tables the idea of LIMITED INSTALLATIONS, what he will have primarily accomplished is to have his game forgotten within a year.

It is not uncommon for people to rely on well formed Starcraft 2 strategies during a game, but what separates the good Diamond league players from the rest is the way in which they implement their strategies.
There are players out there who have played hundreds upon hundreds of matches and made up, perfected and executed their very own Starcraft 2 strategies. They have managed to hit the roof with their Wins vs. Losses ratio and know how to counter almost any Starcraft 2 strategy made yet.
But all of these people realize one thing early on: There is no one perfect Starcraft 2 strategy guide that you can opt for to win all the games you play. As a matter of fact, if you go into a game with a predetermined Starcraft 2 strategy, you will more likely be on the losing side of the match.
One of the best Starcraft 2 strategies that any expert player might divulge to you is as follows:
1. Keep scouting a priority and gather as much information of your opponent as you can.
2. Strategize your further actions based on the knowledge you have of the opponent.
3. Attack and engage the enemy in a battle if that would prove to be favorable to you.
Notice how this "Starcraft 2 strategy" has no build order or unit recommendations. This is because no such Starcraft 2 strategy is fool-proof. It is all about being actively aware of the game scenario and thinking ahead of the competition.
Early game set-ups such as these pave the foundation for the rest of the game. Build a unit you feel will be more helpful in giving you more control of the game. Continuous scouting should tell you what your enemy is amassing and you should build counters for that. Here, knowledge of countering is invaluable. Judge his army by the buildings he makes.
Now once you have your army in place, go for an assault if you think your foe is currently in a weak state and that you can win the battle. If you doubt your victory, go for an expansion.
Once you have your second base up and running and the enemy is engaged with your units, use the time you have on your hands to pump out some high damage units. Once you have them, you may rush them over to your enemy's base and watch his empire crumble.
Do note that this Starcraft 2 strategy demands great alertness and response from your side. It is not a minute by minute guide that tells you what to make and when to attack. Just make sure you are always able to counter what your opponent throws at you and never go into a battle you believe you will lose. Remain flexible throughout this Starcraft 2 strategy and you will be playing like pros in no time.

Sudoku has become one of the most popular puzzle games of all times. It is an old puzzle that has been around forever. However it has recently been marketed as Sudoku and is being done by everyone. In fact I was recently on a plane and an entire row of passengers were all doing Sudoku puzzles.
This past year a combination of five Sudoku puzzle books combined to out sell one of the big best selling books in the book marketplace. Almost every daily newspaper now features a Suduko puzzle right next to it's customary crossword puzzle. Often times, the Sudoku puzzle gets attention before the traditional crossword puzzle.
Sudoku is a puzzle made up of nine cubes featuring nine squares in each cube. These nine cubes combine to make nine rows and nine columns. The puzzle game is sometimes referred to as nine x nine. The goal to complete the puzzle is quite simple. You must use the numbers 1-9 only once in each cube, once in each row, and once in each column.
Each Sudoku puzzle starts with some of the numbers already entered into the puzzle. Depending on how many numbers are pre-entered and the placement of these numbers determine the difficult level of the Sudoko puzzle. Ratings of difficulty very but are often rated from 1 start (easy) to 6 stars (very difficult). Some puzzle creators just call them light and easy, easy, moderately hard, very difficult etc. Other puzzle creators have applied far east martial art terms such as white belt, brown belt, green belt and black belt.
If you have never tried a Sudoko puzzle be sure to start with the easiest level you can find. If you buy a puzzle book they are clearly labeled. If you look in a daily newspaper you would normally find the easiest puzzles at the beginning of the week. Starting with an easy level will help you to develop your puzzle strategy in addition to not completely frustrating you as a very difficult puzzle may do.
The basic strategy that many people use is to go through each number and try to fill in as many of these as the puzzle allows by looking up and down the rows and columns to see where a number has to be placed. If you work your way up from number one through nine, be sure to consider going through this process again and the first time through may have determined some numbers not identifiable the first time through. Next look at the cubes to see which number in a cube may prevent that number from being used in a particular row or column you are trying to solve. Finally try to train your mind to see all nine squares in a row, column or cube. By doing so you will quickly be able to identify the missing number needed in each of these areas. Some of the people writing reviews here on Amazon continuing to constantly complaining about the couple of things short compared to the original are really being quite juvenile. Yes, there is no lan support. Yes, there is only the Terran campaign, but the improvements to this game vastly outshine anything bad about it.
First off, the online play is unbelievable. To me this is the meatiest portion of Starcraft 2 and Blizzard for the most part just nailed it. The match making is awesome, making sure you are matched with someone of similiar skill so the experience came out fun, and the league progression system was very thought out. Friends lists make it super easy to play with your buddies online and the map editor are going to make sure there always going to be fresh experiences with this game for years to come.
The campaign is fun, with 30 missions (including 1 hidden one), gives you enough variety that it never gets old and even helps with your game. The further you get along in it the more abilities you are able to add to your units, adding a bit of an rpg progression element that definitely makes the single player stand out compared to the online portion. The story to me to be honest was very ho hum, displaying the usual sci-fi action flick dilemma of saving the universe or whatever. I didn't really get into it but playing games to me has always been about good gameplay and Starcraft 2 doesn't ever dissapoint on that front. You will either love or hate the story.
One of the things I really like more than I thought I would was the inclusion of a challenge mode in which the game tests you are different unit management portions of the gameplay in turn making you a better player. I thought the mode was a great addition to the game because you can never be good enough at the game. Starcraft really is a modern version of Chess and the way it could be played are endless.
The one small complaint I have about the game is the jump from single player to multiplayer. Some of the units and building abilities available in the single player don't make it into the online portion, which I'm assuming is due to balancing issues, and really does make the game a bit lop sided in my opinion. I could see players getting a bit confused in the online mode wondering why they can't use that one unit or building add on they loved in the single player. This is the one thing I really wished Blizzard would of thought about a bit more. Its nice the campaign has things that make it its own, but making the game seem even is really important. This is not a huge deal but is still a bit irksome.
I love this game. If the fast paced rts gameplay pleases you, then there is not way this game will dissapoint. If you plan to play this game on [...] I don't see any other game out on the market right now that is going to give you as much value as Starcraft 2 is going to give you. You could play this with most of your free time and always find new ways to challenge yourself and have fun with the [...] community. (online)Life is good :)
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Feature
Fast-paced, hard-hitting, tightly balanced competitive real-time strategy gameplay that recaptures and improves on the original game
Three completely distinct races: Protoss, Terran, and Zerg
Units and gameplay mechanics distinguish each race
3D-graphics engine with support for visual effects and massive unit and army sizes
Full multiplayer support, with competitive features and matchmaking utilities available through Battle.net
This is a very well made game. The graphics seem archaic by current standards, and some of the normal elements of the RTS genre hadn't fully developed yet, especially as regards the player interface. Nonetheless, this game lived up to all the hype. I found all three factions fun and challenging to play, and each required an almost entirely different strategy, and wholly different tactics to win. Compelling story and fascinating universe, without any bugs or major game design failures that I noticed. Blizzard entertainment should strive to maintain their standard of excellence for all future releases.
StarCraft Expansion Pack: Brood War Overview
StarCraft: Brood War continues the award winning saga of galactic warfare as the Zerg, Protoss and Terrans struggle for their continued survival. With the shattered Zerg hive torn apart by fierce in-fighting, the Protoss seek to reunite with their Dark Templar brethren and begin the rebuilding of their homeworld, Aiur. The battle for galactic domination rages on with new units, new campaigns, and more explosive strategic combat.
StarCraft Expansion Pack: Brood War Specifications
Fans who mastered the original StarCraft's three races and survived its well-crafted story were quickly clamoring for more. A worthy sequel, Brood War delivers further plot twists and bigger battles.
In keeping with StarCraft's groundbreaking design, this expansion pack--which requires the original game--presents you with three sides of a galactic conflict. Scheming Humans, insidious Zerg, and proud Protoss collide again, with stunning new cinematics setting the stage. Old friends and foes and ominous new arrivals give the story a breakneck pace, while a handful of additions to each race's arsenal makes for tense battles.
Some missions require a bit of finesse, breaking the resource-gathering routine while making good use of the new units. Humans now have Valkyrie missile frigates, as well as Medics that automatically try to heal your grunts. New for the Zerg air force is the acid-spewing Devourer; the new Lurker unit provides heavy-duty (under)ground support. Along with the Corsair fighter, the Protoss re-enter the fray with Dark Templar, which can merge to form the devastating Dark Archon. Unfortunately, units old and new still suffer from some weak pathfinding.
Brood War also features stellar new environments and ambient art, as well as more than 100 additional multiplayer maps. Real-time strategy games don't get any more epic or any more satisfying. --Jack Gardiner
Pros:
New units open up more strategic possibilities
More of StarCraft's great storytelling
Missions are challenging and varied
Cons:
Unit pathfinding is still a little clumsy and requires careful micromanagement
