The Legend of Zelda games are high fantasy role-playing action video games created by the Japanese game makers and designers, namely Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. Zelda games are then developed and published by Nintendo and are considered one of their most important franchises.

Zelda games include a combination of adventure, action and solving puzzles. The game series centers on the girl Link, the main character of the game. She is usually given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda in the most common setting from Ganon or Ganondorf who is the main antagonist. Nevertheless, other antagonists and settings have appeared throughout the games and Vaati recently became the secondary antagonist.

The Legend of Zelda games usually includes a relic known as Triforce, a set of there golden triangles. Link holds it for courage, Princess Zelda holds it for wisdom and Ganon holds it for power.

As of April this year, the Legend of Zelda series has sold more than 59 million copies since the release of its first game and continues to be successful all throughout the world. The elements found in these types of video-games have remained constant through the series, but with additions and refinements featured in a new game.

Most frequently, the player is rewarded for exploring areas or solving puzzles. Most games involve exploring, locating dungeons where puzzles are solved, enemies fought, and defeating the boss of the dungeon.

Furthermore, the game series also includes a stealth game play wherein the player must avoid enemies while proceeding through a level and racing elements as well. The Legend of Zelda is truly one of the most action-packed games with lots of adventures and challenges that every child and even adult will find entertaining, engrossing and addicting.

One can find several different Starcraft 2 Strategies out there. You must know that mainly Starcraft 2 strategies range from beginner to advanced level. Advanced level strategies are used by professional players and they are a result of hours of gaming experience and practice. The best idea would be to get familiar with the basic Starcraft 2 strategies before going into the more advanced ones. Read more to learn in brief about basic Starcraft 2 Strategy.

Starcraft has three races - Zerg, Protoss and Terran. Zergs are the most popular and they are always present in large numbers. Thus they are able to pull of a massive attack with a deadly force. Zergs are usually all about numbers. That is one of the ideas behind one of the most popular Starcraft 2 strategy called The Zerg Rush. You spawn an army of Zergs and attack your enemy with a force so huge that it ensures that the victory is yours. The way in which Zerg advances is compelling.

Protoss is yet another powerful race. When facing off Zergs, they use the Protoss Carrier. It allows them to enter the combat with high voltage current and exploding radiance. Protoss are also able to make use of their Mothership which allows them to trick their enemies and attack them.

Terrans are smart, quick and advanced compared to all other races. They are ind of combination of Zerg and Protoss. The possibilities and strategies with them are endless. Terrans can quickly seal any openings created by enemies which makes it a bad idea to attack them. They also have abilities like radars or scanners to locate enemies. Controlling mechanized units, flame throwing, and huge blasts are few other amazing skills that they posses. With an impressive arsenal at their disposal, opponents never know what a Terran player is going to come up with during an invasion.

That was about the basic Starcraft 2 strategies for different races. Now let us get into how to start a round. Like we have gold in World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2 has minerals as the main currency. Starcraft 2 minerals are of two different types. The way in which each of them are collected is also different. First one is Crystal. As you begin a round you will find eight of crystal mines around your base. The second type is Vespene. It is comparatively used less than Crystal.

Your game starts at a central building which is called as Nexus. This is where you will be dropping off the minerals you collect. It also allows you to product workers are speed up buildings to work faster.

This was just an overview of the basic Starcraft 2 Strategies. Visit my blog for more detailed and advanced level Starcraft 2 strategies.

Warcraft III Battle Chest Review

I finally returned to Warcraft III several years after purchasing it (and not finishing it). My problem at the time was that I played too many random maps, which ended up being the same thing over and over (settlement building, army building, attack, rinse, repeat) and I got tired of it. I never even finished the Alliance campaign.

In the meantime I played World of Warcraft (which is set four years after the events of Warcraft III) and then I decided to give Warcraft III another try, both to finish a game I never finished and to play through the storylines that led up to WoW. By this time I was familiar with the big characters and events, thanks to playing WoW and reading about the lore, but it was very exciting to actually play through them on my own. Part of the WoW setting is the aftermath of the invasion of the Burning Legion, so to see it all happen in Warcraft III was really quite amazing. While Warcraft I and II seem to be more straightforward (essentially dealing with the humans and the orcs battling each other), Warcraft III really expands the lore of the game world. Arthas falls, the Legion invades, the orcs travel to Kalimdor, the night elves reawaken the druids, etc. There are a lot of big events that you can play through in these four campaigns.

My only complaint would be that sometimes it gets a little repetitive with the settlement building aspect. I know this is the heart of a strategy game, but completing a chapter could take as long as two hours simply because you have to build everything up, create an army, attack an enemy outpost (thereby losing many units), and then re-building the army to do it all again. However, there are many other chapters that do not involve a high degree of settlement building, and some chapters are straightforward exploration and questing. So thankfully there is a variety of play styles across the campaigns.

Finally, regarding the Battle Chest product specifically: this is simply a fantastic value. It comes with separate discs for Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, the original game manuals for each, as well as mini Brady game guides for each. Blizzard certainly did not skimp on the included materials for this collection.

  • Create legenedary heroes that will complete quests and acquire items that advance your army
  • In Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne, a new threat called the Lich King has come to Azeroth. Take up arms and rush to battle yet one more time!
  • Expansion features all-new units, player-built shops & buildings, and powerful new magic abilities

Of all the classes that are there in Warcraft, mages happen to be the easiest to level. As they can create enough food and water for the entire group they are highly important for any group. And added to this their crowd control and damage ability makes them all the more valuable.

There are three talent specializations of Mages, namely Frost, Fire and Arcane. Of the three, Frost has highest survivability, while Fire and Arcane have high DPS with Fire also having a huge burst.

The most popular talent trees change with time as newer patches are rolled out that affect the talents. Right now Fire happens to be the most favoured raiding talent trees. However one can always choose any specialization and learn to benefit by playing with them over time.

Casters can increase their survivability with the help of Frost. Aided by the frost novas and bolts mages can keep mobs at a distance and kill them quite easily.

Although Fire and Frost happen to be the best choices that one can make, which one would prove to be the best cannot be said like that, and one will have to go ahead and try them to see which one would work best for them.

Mages need to react fast and the fact that they are cloth armoured makes it all the more important to insure that they do not face too much damage. This is why many people choose Frost as it helps them by allowing them to ensure that their mages can sustain a bit more damage to survive.

Although mages are quite easy to play one must play with a lot of concentration and attention to play well. They get easily damaged and can catch the attention of the monsters, and need to indulge in dumping aggro from time to time. Using invisibility and ice block can help in staying immune and dump aggro. However while staying invisible; one must take care to ensure that they do not meet up with any damage, which could cause them to lose their invisibility.

Another great ability that is possessed by mages is the ability to teleport, and they can do so not only on their own, but can also help entire groups to teleport. For this they need reagents, which can be obtained from any reagent vendor. Teleportation can be done to major cities like Ironforge, Shattrath, Exodar, Dalaran, Darnassus, Stormwind and Theramore for the Alliance by the level 80 mages. On the other hand, Horde mages help in teleportation to Thunder Bluff, Shattrath, Stonard, Silvermoon City, Undercity, Orgrimmar, Dalaran, and Thunder Bluff. You can in fact earn money by teleporting people while in a major city.

Just follow this guide and you will gain knowledge on how to handle one of the best DPS classes in Warcraft.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Review

I was never really a Red alert fan until I began getting into the rts genre in general. RA3 Starts as a fictional scenario that Einstein gets vaporized, so the nuclear bomb never exists, and since they did that, the japanese still exist. Gameplay is alright, you got lots of interesting units like the kirov or the hero units which can rack up some damage. The graphics are not too bad for their time but I've seen better on an rts. The multiplayer is pretty fun, and of course the thing I cannot leave out. The soundtrack. Love it; the music is just in my range of interest, and it makes the game more engaging. As you know this game also has limited installs on it, which is bs even for us that own it cause us gamers like to repetitively reinstall the os for performance optimization, so before you think about your drm next time ea, be a little more intelligent on your decisions. Please

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Feature

  • Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 for the PC brings back the fan-favorite real-time strategy game
  • The Soviets created a time-travel device which creates interesting plot twists
  • Play as the Allies, the Soviets, or the Empire of the Rising Sun
  • Red Alert 3 has land units, air units, and naval units, all integral parts of the game
  • Cooperative campaign and head-to-head multiplayer modes provide hours of fun gameplay

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Overview

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 from EA brings back the fan-favorite real-time strategy game in its latest incarnation with new features, powers, technologies, and a different world. Now, you can play not just by yourself but also cooperatively with a friend as you take on the enemy in this glorious, over-the-top romp.

Intriguing Plot Twists
In previous games, the war between the Allies and Soviets was coming to a close with the Allies nearing victory. In desperation, the Soviets created a time-travel device that they've used to assassinate Albert Einstein before he is able to develop the weapon technology the Allies later use to defeat the Soviets. Upon returning, they notice a new world, and there is a world war taking place between three groups for control of the world.

Play As Three Different Factions for Varied game play
In Red Alert 3, you have the choice to play as the Allies, the Soviets, or the Empire of the Rising Sun. Each faction has its own story-line and distinct units with advantages and disadvantages that you have to master in order to win. The new faction to the series is the Empire of the Rising Sun, derived from Imperial Japan, with an all-new cast of units and characters.

The three factions have many differences, exemplified by their wildly different types of units. The Soviets, for example, have armored attack bears, Allies have the Dolphin ship which can high jump and use a sonic attack, and the Empire of the Rising Sun features such quirky units as a giant transforming mecha and ninjas. As they've done with the series, EA injects humor into the game when possible, keeping a smile on your face as you wage war.

Fight on Land, in the Air, and on Sea
Red Alert 3 has land units, air units, and naval units, all integral parts of the game. Unlike most strategy games that don't bother with naval warfare, Red Alert 3 makes controlling the seas an essential part of the game. Controlling resources in the seas and mounting attacks from all directions are strategies that must be employed to achieve victory.

Cooperative Mode Lets You Team Up with Your Friends
Red Alert 3 has a fully co-operative campaign mode where you and a friend can play together to achieve victory. This means that you have to develop a strategy together, as well as execute it in synch in order to win. If your friends aren't online, you can also choose one of several AI commanders as your teammate.

Play Against Your Friends in Multiplayer
With the different units and play mechanics of each faction, you and your friends will have a great time playing against each other, perfecting different strategies to best suit the units you have and the maps you play on. And thanks to the balanced game play, no one will have an unfair advantage.

For previous fans of Command and Conquer, Red Alert 3 will provide the same light-hearted game play, but with more units, more strategies, and more fun. Newcomers to the game will soon see what all the fuss and laughter is about.

There are two kinds of people, those willing to give everything it takes to success and those who fail. This holds true all the time for daily life in Hyboria, the Age of Conan. Many people can take an AoC character through months of endless questing and grinding to reach the level cap, while some accomplish the same thing in the matter of weeks. Obviously, these are the same group of Age of Conan players who make and spend countless amount of AoC gold daily while enjoy winning PvP fights all the time. The truth behind these accomplishments is not really a secret, all they need is just an access to the insider information.

If you are also the Age of Conan player in pursuit of an edge over others. Then you might have heard that there is a secret community where many elite players go to share and learn Age of Conan cheats. Few months before the initial launch of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. The cheat community announced that it is going to feature a forum where players can discuss Age of Conan cheats freely. The forum received more responses than the staff anticipated. There were at least forty posted discussions presented before the open beta session begins, some are closed beta insider game information and some even explain methods behind AoC cheats and hacks deliberately.

The most recent discovery reveals that Funcom still leave some spots open for third party programs to cheat the game. Players with some basic programming knowledge can create an AoC cheat out of this knowledge easily, allowing their characters to fly in the air, walk through walls and swim under the mountain. They are still looking for better ways of applying this cheat.

Long before the launch of AoC, members of Strategyfreaks has been figuring out better ways of playing many MMO games, spending less time but achieving the same level of enjoyment. Now, the staff is looking forward to see the community discuss more Age of Conan cheats as players progress further into the game. They are also trying their best to fuel the conversation taking place, to ensure that more AoC cheats are going to be posted.

Starcraft Review

Over the last 10 years that I first installed STARCRAFT I have replayed it countless of times. Every time a new overhyped game disappoints me, this is one of the games I pull out of my library to be reminded what a GREAT PC GAME LOOKS & PLAYS LIKE! (others include UNREAL, BALDUR's GATE, GRIM FANTANGO and SHOGUN:TOTAL WAR)

Everyone has his/her favorite RTS and no one can claim that STARCRAFT introduced the futuristic RTS genre (that would be DUNE). Nevertheless, the great, crisp and clear graphics, the balanced units and the strategic terrain all contributed into turning STARCRAFT into a true classic. This is a game that passed the test of time, not only because its aging graphics are still acceptable but also because it is one of those games that stays with you. Forever.

So, the next time some gaming industry MBA (who probably could not tell an RTS from an cRPG) tables the idea of LIMITED INSTALLATIONS, what he will have primarily accomplished is to have his game forgotten within a year.

It is not uncommon for people to rely on well formed Starcraft 2 strategies during a game, but what separates the good Diamond league players from the rest is the way in which they implement their strategies.

There are players out there who have played hundreds upon hundreds of matches and made up, perfected and executed their very own Starcraft 2 strategies. They have managed to hit the roof with their Wins vs. Losses ratio and know how to counter almost any Starcraft 2 strategy made yet.

But all of these people realize one thing early on: There is no one perfect Starcraft 2 strategy guide that you can opt for to win all the games you play. As a matter of fact, if you go into a game with a predetermined Starcraft 2 strategy, you will more likely be on the losing side of the match.

One of the best Starcraft 2 strategies that any expert player might divulge to you is as follows:
1. Keep scouting a priority and gather as much information of your opponent as you can.
2. Strategize your further actions based on the knowledge you have of the opponent.
3. Attack and engage the enemy in a battle if that would prove to be favorable to you.

Notice how this "Starcraft 2 strategy" has no build order or unit recommendations. This is because no such Starcraft 2 strategy is fool-proof. It is all about being actively aware of the game scenario and thinking ahead of the competition.

Early game set-ups such as these pave the foundation for the rest of the game. Build a unit you feel will be more helpful in giving you more control of the game. Continuous scouting should tell you what your enemy is amassing and you should build counters for that. Here, knowledge of countering is invaluable. Judge his army by the buildings he makes.

Now once you have your army in place, go for an assault if you think your foe is currently in a weak state and that you can win the battle. If you doubt your victory, go for an expansion.
Once you have your second base up and running and the enemy is engaged with your units, use the time you have on your hands to pump out some high damage units. Once you have them, you may rush them over to your enemy's base and watch his empire crumble.

Do note that this Starcraft 2 strategy demands great alertness and response from your side. It is not a minute by minute guide that tells you what to make and when to attack. Just make sure you are always able to counter what your opponent throws at you and never go into a battle you believe you will lose. Remain flexible throughout this Starcraft 2 strategy and you will be playing like pros in no time.

Sudoku has become one of the most popular puzzle games of all times. It is an old puzzle that has been around forever. However it has recently been marketed as Sudoku and is being done by everyone. In fact I was recently on a plane and an entire row of passengers were all doing Sudoku puzzles.

This past year a combination of five Sudoku puzzle books combined to out sell one of the big best selling books in the book marketplace. Almost every daily newspaper now features a Suduko puzzle right next to it's customary crossword puzzle. Often times, the Sudoku puzzle gets attention before the traditional crossword puzzle.

Sudoku is a puzzle made up of nine cubes featuring nine squares in each cube. These nine cubes combine to make nine rows and nine columns. The puzzle game is sometimes referred to as nine x nine. The goal to complete the puzzle is quite simple. You must use the numbers 1-9 only once in each cube, once in each row, and once in each column.

Each Sudoku puzzle starts with some of the numbers already entered into the puzzle. Depending on how many numbers are pre-entered and the placement of these numbers determine the difficult level of the Sudoko puzzle. Ratings of difficulty very but are often rated from 1 start (easy) to 6 stars (very difficult). Some puzzle creators just call them light and easy, easy, moderately hard, very difficult etc. Other puzzle creators have applied far east martial art terms such as white belt, brown belt, green belt and black belt.

If you have never tried a Sudoko puzzle be sure to start with the easiest level you can find. If you buy a puzzle book they are clearly labeled. If you look in a daily newspaper you would normally find the easiest puzzles at the beginning of the week. Starting with an easy level will help you to develop your puzzle strategy in addition to not completely frustrating you as a very difficult puzzle may do.

The basic strategy that many people use is to go through each number and try to fill in as many of these as the puzzle allows by looking up and down the rows and columns to see where a number has to be placed. If you work your way up from number one through nine, be sure to consider going through this process again and the first time through may have determined some numbers not identifiable the first time through. Next look at the cubes to see which number in a cube may prevent that number from being used in a particular row or column you are trying to solve. Finally try to train your mind to see all nine squares in a row, column or cube. By doing so you will quickly be able to identify the missing number needed in each of these areas. Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Review

Some of the people writing reviews here on Amazon continuing to constantly complaining about the couple of things short compared to the original are really being quite juvenile. Yes, there is no lan support. Yes, there is only the Terran campaign, but the improvements to this game vastly outshine anything bad about it.

First off, the online play is unbelievable. To me this is the meatiest portion of Starcraft 2 and Blizzard for the most part just nailed it. The match making is awesome, making sure you are matched with someone of similiar skill so the experience came out fun, and the league progression system was very thought out. Friends lists make it super easy to play with your buddies online and the map editor are going to make sure there always going to be fresh experiences with this game for years to come.

The campaign is fun, with 30 missions (including 1 hidden one), gives you enough variety that it never gets old and even helps with your game. The further you get along in it the more abilities you are able to add to your units, adding a bit of an rpg progression element that definitely makes the single player stand out compared to the online portion. The story to me to be honest was very ho hum, displaying the usual sci-fi action flick dilemma of saving the universe or whatever. I didn't really get into it but playing games to me has always been about good gameplay and Starcraft 2 doesn't ever dissapoint on that front. You will either love or hate the story.

One of the things I really like more than I thought I would was the inclusion of a challenge mode in which the game tests you are different unit management portions of the gameplay in turn making you a better player. I thought the mode was a great addition to the game because you can never be good enough at the game. Starcraft really is a modern version of Chess and the way it could be played are endless.

The one small complaint I have about the game is the jump from single player to multiplayer. Some of the units and building abilities available in the single player don't make it into the online portion, which I'm assuming is due to balancing issues, and really does make the game a bit lop sided in my opinion. I could see players getting a bit confused in the online mode wondering why they can't use that one unit or building add on they loved in the single player. This is the one thing I really wished Blizzard would of thought about a bit more. Its nice the campaign has things that make it its own, but making the game seem even is really important. This is not a huge deal but is still a bit irksome.

I love this game. If the fast paced rts gameplay pleases you, then there is not way this game will dissapoint. If you plan to play this game on [...] I don't see any other game out on the market right now that is going to give you as much value as Starcraft 2 is going to give you. You could play this with most of your free time and always find new ways to challenge yourself and have fun with the [...] community. (online)Life is good :)
